PT Mayawana Persada Deploys Integrated Personnel and Infrastructure, Focusing Wildfire Suppression Toward Complete Extinction

Embung Mayawana

Intensive efforts to tackle forest and land fires within PT Mayawana Persada’s concession area are actively underway on the ground. Since early August 2026, management has deployed Firefighting Crews (RPK) and established tactical posts across 8 strategic locations to fully localize and suppress remaining hot spots.

At the operational level, firefighting is a collaborative endeavor. The company has strengthened synergy by activating Fire-Care Community (MPA) groups in buffer villages—including Sekucing Kualan, Sekucing Labai, and Sungai Mata-mata—equipped with proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Cross-sectoral cooperation also runs closely alongside the Kayong Utara KPH and the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD). Through the MATA PANDAWA working group and partnerships with local entities like Yayasan Palung, field operations are reinforced by heavy machinery deployment (PC 60), daily personnel, and the construction of water infrastructure such as reservoirs and firebreaks extending to outer concession boundaries. Operational logistics are additionally coordinated with the Solidaritas Rakyat Borneo post.
