Showcasing Impactful CSR Initiatives, PT Mayawana Persada Earns Recognition from West Kalimantan Governor

JAKARTA (July 24, 2026) — PT Mayawana Persada has once again received formal recognition from the West Kalimantan Provincial Government for its sustained commitment to community development. The appreciation was conveyed directly by the Governor of West Kalimantan, Ria Norsan, during the Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TSBLP) Forum held at the Borobudur Hotel, Jakarta.

Representing the company, PT Mayawana Persada’s Sustainability Manager, Cecep Mutakin, presented a comprehensive overview of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) achievements across concession areas.

Three Strategic Pillars of PT Mayawana Persada’s CSR Framework

During his address, Cecep Mutakin highlighted how the company's CSR strategy focuses on essential community development pillars:

1. Healthcare Inisiatives: The company actively contributes to child stunting mitigation programs in concession-adjacent villages. Additionally, PT Mayawana Persada has donated operational ambulances to local communities and regularly conducts free medical check-ups, with a strong focus on maternal health.
2. Educational Support: Through the "Mayawana Mengajar" (Mayawana Teaches) initiative, the company introduces educational enrichment programs welcomed by local schools. Recognizing the dedication of non-permanent teachers (guru honorer) operating in remote areas, the company also provides monthly financial incentives to support their welfare.
3. Infrastructure & Regional Connectivity: PT Mayawana Persada successfully developed an overland access road linking Ketapang Regency and Kayong Utara Regency.
   "This infrastructure connectivity program received enthusiastic support from residents, as it significantly reduces travel time and distance between the two regencies," noted Cecep.

Speaking at the forum alongside Vice Governor Krisantus, Governor Ria Norsan commended participating businesses, including PT Mayawana Persada, for supporting regional development goals.

The Governor emphasized that CSR execution extends beyond regulatory compliance—it represents a vital social investment for sustainable regional growth.

"I encourage every company operating across West Kalimantan to implement CSR programs that directly touch and improve community livelihoods. Corporate presence must generate tangible positive impacts, particularly in health, education, infrastructure, economic empowerment, environmental protection, and social affairs," stated Governor Ria Norsan.

The TSBLP Forum was attended by Regents and Mayors from across West Kalimantan, representatives from the Directorate General of the Ministry of Home Affairs, and senior executives from regional and national enterprises.
